Ralph Rangnik was announced as the new coach of Schalke 04. He succeeded Felix Magath, who was released on Wednesday.
The new coach is 52 years old. In January Rangnik was released from Hoffenheim. With the "royal-blue" specialist signed for two and a half years.
Formal Rangnik will take Schalke 04 on Monday. In the Bundesliga match against Bayer Leverkusen on Sunday the coach's bench will be former assistant Magath - Zepo Ayhkom.
As is known, until Schalke 04 is 10 in the Bundesliga. This is one reason Magath to be released, although ranked team in the quarterfinals of the Champions League and Cup Final in Germany.
