FIFA has announced the nominees for the best goalkeeper award.  

The Best award ceremony will take place on February 27, 2023.  When awarding prizes, the period from August 8, 2021 to December 18, 2022 will be considered.

The material on the FIFA website names some of the potential contenders for the prestigious award. The presented list includes Alisson (Liverpool, Brazil), Yassin Bounou (Seville, Morocco), Thibaut Courtois (Real Madrid, Belgium), Dominik Livakovic (Dinamo Zagreb, Croatia), Mike Maignan (Milan, France), Emiliano Martinez (Aston Villa, Argentina) and Manuel Neuer (Bavaria, Germany).  

In 2022, the prize for the best goalkeeper was given to the goalkeeper of Chelsea and the Senegal national team, Edouard Mendy.
