28.02.2025 RFEF about Real Madrid`s complaint: the tone and seriousness of the accusations cause regret. Constructive criticism is always welcome, but it should be good

RFEF answered Real Madrid to claims to judge. Earlier, Madrid officially complained to the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) of refereeing in the La League match with Espanyol (0:1), urged to completely update the judicial system of Spain and accused the arbitrators of a recurring harm to the club.
We confirm our commitment to transparency, justice and constant improvement of refereeing mechanisms, fundamental principles guaranteeing the development and honesty of our competitions.
The tone and seriousness of the accusations cause deep regret. They question the honesty of judicial organs and the functioning of the competition as a whole.  We understand that with the development of professional football, there may be disagreements regarding some solutions, but we believe that all parties act with responsibility and respect, which requires the highest level of our sport.
We want to express our absolute respect to all our judges, who do their work professionally, carefully and with constant assessment.  Judicial work is by its nature is subject to verification and analysis, but this cannot lead to generalized accusations that call her honesty, since this not only affects the judges themselves, but also undermines confidence in football as a whole.
It is important to think about the consequences of systematic doubts about refereeing. The constant delegation of judicial work outside the established channels gives rise to an atmosphere of distrust, which does not benefit either Spanish football or its competition.
Constructive criticism is always welcome and necessary for constant improvement, but it should be carried out within the established framework and with respect, required by all aspects of our sport.
RFEF is immersed in the process of modernization and structural improvement of all refereeing, in accordance with advanced international practice and with the support of the competent authorities in this area. The goal is to move forward with the support of all participants in Spanish football.
